Social Welfare

Krishi Bharati > Social Welfare

Beside, regular business activities Krishi Bharati, is also associated in several social welfare activities. In the light of Covid-19, when people all across the world are struggling to meet-up their basic amenities for survival, Krishi Bharati, took a pledge to stand by the needy people of the remote areas of West Bengal. We have likewise taken initiative to help the people of Sudarban and other districts of the state, who are viciously, affected by the impact of Amphan that stroke the state in May 2020. We are supplying foods and other necessary things to the affected families by the devastating storm ‘Amphan’ to the best of our ability.

Apart from that we are seriously involved in the community development related activities through football. We have two football teams, United Sports Club, which has a remarkable history in the domain of Indian football and Patha Chakra, which is a CFL (Calcutta Football League) premier division Club. The basic reason to look after these two football clubs is to serve hundreds of underprivileged children, while taking care of their basic diet and financial support regularly. We are proud to mention it here that there are more than hundred young footballers who have successfully made it to the top level of Indian football and are quite established in life now. Presently United sports Club is playing the youth I-league in three categories U-13, U-15, U-18 and the senior team is going to compete against clubs like East Bengal, Md. Sporting, Mohun Bagan and many other reputed clubs in CFL Premier “A” division.

We strongly believe that from the perspective of humanity we should carry on with the social welfare activities that we have been involved for quite a long time. We are also desirous to spread our activities to the greater level in future so that our society can be benefited in a more organised manner.
